This setup contains calibrated settings if using the Creative MP3+ for measurements using the microphone input.
Important: You must plug a phono cable between the red phono plugs as shown in the figure. (This is for the synchronization signal that is sent in channel 2.)
Connect your microphone to the mini-jack MIC IN connector. If you are connecting to a loudspeaker, connect it to the white Line Out phono connector.

To get the absolute levels correct, you need to type in the sensitivity of your microphone or calibrate the microphone.
Do this from Measurement→Calibration… and click the Calibrate… button.
Calibration can be done in different ways as explained if you click help.
After doing this, load the setup for the application you wish to perform from Setups→Load….
Unlike the other setups, the the setups in this "Sound Cards" category is set to load sound card settings.
Therefore, after loading the setup for your sound card, load another setup from one of the other categories that will load the settings needed for your measurement application.
