This setup contains calibrated settings if using the VXpocket v2 for electrical measurements.
Click help for more info, especially if you want to use the microphone input of the VXpocket card.
Note: The nominal input and output levels in this setup applies only if the advanced input and advanced output settings of the Digigram mixer are set to their default values. If these are changed, the nominal values in WinMLS must be changed to maintain the level calibration.
Click the Next > button to continue.
Click help and follow the procedure to verify that your sound card is working properly.
You may click the Exit button below to exit this wizard, then reload the setup for the sound card after finishing the sound card verification.
The verification measurement that you will perform may be used if you wish to do the measurement system correction based on such a reference measurement as will be explained later.
Click help and follow the procedure if you want to correct for the frequency response and time delay of the sound card.
Note: If you are doing scope mode/data aquisition measurements only, this will not have any effect.
If you are going to measure two channels, e.g. measuring the frequency response of two microphones simultaneously you must NOT do this. Instead, go to the next wizard step for an alternative method (this method can also be used for 1 channel measurements).
Click help for an alternative method of correcting for the sound card.
The advantage with this method is that it does not use an input channel as reference signal during the measurement, thus all channels can be used if you want to measure several channels simultaneously (e.g. the frequency response of multiple microphone positions).
Since this method uses a saved measurement of the same channel as reference, it will not matter if input channel 1 and channel 2 are not equal which is a problem in the method described in the section above.
Unlike the other setups, the the setups in this "Sound Cards" category is set to load sound card settings.
Therefore, after loading the setup for your sound card, load another setup from one of the other categories that will load the settings needed for your measurement application.
If you do not find your sound card in the sound card setups, click the help button for instructions on how to set up your sound card manually.
