System Delay…

Displays the dialog shown below.

 

 

The system delay is the same as the time a signal takes to travel through the system we are measuring. If we are measuring a loudspeaker, the delay caused by the distance between the loudspeaker and the microphone and is also called time of flight. The delay can be measured in several ways with WinMLS. It can also be plotted in the plot types Room Acoustics and Parameter.

 

Note: These delay settings is only applied when WinMLS is measuring impulse/frequency response and not when used as a signal generator only or in scope mode. Also if right channel is used as reference in Measurement->Settings…, these delay settings will not be used.
