The background noise is “normal”

The easiest case for measuring STI is if the background noise is “normal” when you are measuring. This works if the background noise during the measurement is stable and at the right level. This may not be the case e.g. if you are measuring a swimming pool with no people present and the ventilation system turned off. Then the background noise is clearly too low and you may have to compensate for this. WinMLS lets you do this.

Then you can measure using the default setup named ‘Speech_All Parameters’ found from Setup->Load….
