How to use this sound card for doing calibrated measurements?

You may do it the hard way by following the calibration procedures in the FAQ: Measurement part of the help file (also found in the ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ pdf-file).

But it can be done very easily by loading nominal values:

From Measurement->Measurement Setup..., load the measurement settings setup named VX222-VXPocket. This will load the nominal values for the input and output levels for these Digigram cards. The WinMLS mixer levels will also be given correct nominal values. Finally a measurement system correction file is specified, and the measurement system correction is turned on. This will correct for the frequency response and time delay of the sound card. We recommend that you test this file on your system (you can turn it off by clicking the button on the Measurement Settings Toolbar)

Note that these nominal input and output levels applies only if the advanced input and advanced output settings of the Digigram mixer are set to their default values. If these are changed, the nominal values in WinMLS must be changed. This is covered in the next section.
